Reefer Madness Satyr

I finally convinced a friend of mine that we should see the new "Reefer Madness" movie. I kept telling him that the movie was a good idea simply because Alan Cumming plays in it, plus there is one song'n'dance scene where he features as an oversexed satyr and god of drugged indulgance. Having seen it once, we watched it (the whole movie, and specifically the satyr scene) many times. Via one of my music editing programs, I recorded the songs from the movie to continue the addictive nature of the movie for both of us. I totally recommend this movie, but will warn you, the music is far more addictive than the drug after which it is named is proportedly to be; YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Anyway, my friend and I absolutely loved Satyr-Alan and I started drawing. Upon producing and showing the linework of this to my friend, he continually insists "thats haaaawt"... hehe... Also, my apologies for the total lack of subtlety regarding Satyr-Alan's phalically symbolic stick. In the movie, the stick is actually topped with a sort of carved Tiki-man's head, though the first glimpse of it makes the watcher swear otherwise.

I tried to color this in a comic-book like manner as I've seen in 's work, so special thanks to his then-and-now pieces like this ([link]) and this ([link]) which are wonderful learning tools.
